We try to keep a low human footprint on the land, which means using a compost toilet, propane heater, swamp cooler, etc. It might be the first time you’ve ever operated these things, so we’ve got some videos to help you learn!

The temperature and climate can fluctuate significantly by season and even between day and night here (like from 70s to 40s). We use a number of energy saving ways to try to help you stay cool in the summer and warm in the fall and winter.

A big part of the experience here is flowing with the impermanence of nature. Some of that physical discomfort can be a breadcrumb for personal growth and discovery.
