SACRED CONVERSATIONS WITH LAND
September 26 - October 20, 2024
An Immersive Retreat & 3-Week Online Integration Experience
Deepen your relationship with Mother Earth
Cultures around the world have known and honored the Sacred Feminine as Sacred Earth for thousands of years. But what does it really mean to be in conversation with the land?
More importantly, how does it feel? And how do we establish and cultivate a lasting connection to the earth - one based on the principles of respect, reciprocity and deep listening?
Cultivate the practice of sacred land stewardship
In this experiential, month-long journey, we'll begin with a weekend immersion on the sacred lands and waters of Hestia Retreat Center in Mount Shasta, California.
We will begin our monthlong journey in community to:
Learn Sacred Feminine mythologies that have guided people to live in harmony with the earth and its beings throughout millennia
Practice how to connect with and listen to land that has been held in sacred reverence by many, including the Indigenous Shasta and Karuk peoples and its current stewards
Uncover your own way of listening and being in sacred conversation with land
Create an intention to bring home that will guide you in cultivating your own relationship with the land spaces available to you.
Following your in-person retreat experience, we will host 3 live online integration sessions to apply the key learnings from Mount Shasta to your context back home. These weekly touch points will help you solidify your commitment and approach to stewarding land.

The role of a land steward means intentionally taking responsibility and care for the land around you (regardless of ownership status and also beyond the literal care of a farmer or permaculturist). Caring for the land requires us to cultivate a relationshp much like how you would show up for a cherished friend or loved one.
This intimate quality of connection and communication is what allows us to be in sacred reciprocity. It also helps us avoid unconscious, historical patterns of extraction and transaction with land and move toward a more consent-based relationship.
Once you learn to listen to Mother Earth, you will hear her wants, needs, and preferences, almost like literal yeses and nos!
