Join natural chef Melissa S. in the mindful practice of fermentation. During this session we will enjoy a brief meditation, learn to make a simple fermented vegetable and leave with a lifelong skill for better health and wellness.

What you will need:

  • Vegetable of choice (top recommendation = organic cauliflower, OR carrot, radish, beet or green bean)

  • 1 mason jar with lid (quart size recommended, pint will work too)

  • Weight (standard fermentation weight, small bowl or jar that will fit, or large cabbage leaf or chunk of core)

  • Sharp knife and cutting board

  • Salt

  • Optional: red pepper flake, garlic, dill, peppercorn, lemon, bay leaf, or dried spices of choice
